YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
Leadership isn’t for “later.” It’s for now. Dive into high-energy, real-world practice delivered by Youth for Youth.
Most people wait until they are given a badge or a title to learn how to lead. We think that’s too late. Our Youth Leadership Program helps 12–18 year olds build the confidence and self-awareness they need to navigate school, friendships, and life challenges today. We focus on the human skills that matter most—giving students a strong foundation for life before they even start their first job.
The evidence is clear: Recent research from the OECD shows that a young person’s ability to connect, empathise, and lead—their social and emotional skills—are just as important as their academic grades when it comes to long-term success. These “21st-century skills” are the strongest predictors of life satisfaction, healthy relationships, and career ambition.

WHO’S THIS YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR?
We partner with local councils and schools to deliver this training directly to their youth communities rather than running open public intakes.
-
Local Councils & Youth Services: Seeking community-focused programs that build real-world resilience and connection for youth.
-
Schools & Educators: Looking to help student leaders move from simply wearing a badge to authentic peer influence.
-
Young People (Years 7–12): Participants aged 12–18 ready to find their voice and build the social confidence to lead in their everyday lives.
HOW IS THIS PROGRAM DELIVERED?
We offer high-energy, 5.5-hour programs (run as a school day) designed to engage students through peer-to-peer connection. These sessions are led by high school facilitators and are scheduled during weekends or holidays to avoid disrupting school timetables.
PEER FACILITATORS DRIVE STUDENT CONNECTION
Students learn from peers rather than traditional lecturers. Because our facilitators are high school students themselves, they understand the current student experience and communicate in a way that resonates. This relatable approach helps students connect more deeply with the material.
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING FOR YOUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY
We respect the teaching calendar, so we schedule all programs when students are already out of the classroom; weekends or school holidays.
